GUWAHATI: 213 people of Assam stranded outside with severe health reasons paid Rs 25,000 so far informed Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during a press conference.

So far, 913 people have called on helpline number; 213 people have been verified and 700 cases are still in pipeline where people's details are being verified.

Amid lockdown the state government had decided to provide economic benefit to residents of Assam with severe health issues seeking treatment outside state.

Helpline no. has been provided for such patients, informed state health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
