30-hour hunger strike against Citizenship Bill

PATHSALA, May 27: The Pathsala Anchalik Students’ Union resorted to 30-hour hunger strike in front of the AASU office at Harimandir premises in Pathsala town from 6 am on May 26 to 12.30 am on May 27, led by Arup Jyoti Das, demanding withdrawal of the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, implementation of Assam Accord, constitutional safeguard and sealing of Indo-Bangla border. The hunger strike was supported by local public of Bajali, members of Pathsala Press Club and other organizations.
