14-Member Assam Cabinet to be Sworn-in Today, Check Names of Cabinet Ministers Here

Assam New Ministers List 2021: Himanta Biswa Sarma would be sworn-in as the 15th Chief Minister of Assam. Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi would conduct the swearing-in of the Chief Minister and his 13-member Cabinet. According to sources, 10 MLAs from BJP, 2 from AGP and 1 from UPPL would be part of the Himanta Biswa Cabinet.

Assam BJP President Ranjeet Kr Dass is expected to be given a Cabinet berth in the Himanta Biswa Sarma Cabinet.

Assam MLAs Supposed to Become Minister Under Himanta Chief Ministership

Here is the list of newly elected MLAs who will take oath as minister in Himanta cabinet

1. AGP President Atul Bora, 2. AGP Working President Keshab Mahanta (both ministers in the outgoing Sarbananda Sonowal government) would be part of the Assam Cabinet that would be sworn in in a short while from now.

3. UPPL's U G Brahma, former Rajya Sabha MP & a well-known writer and winner of Sahitya Akademi Award would also be sworn in as a Cabinet Minister.

Some of the other names who would be part of the Cabinet are

4. Ajanta Neog, 5. Parimal Suklabaidya, 6. Chandra Mohan Patowary, 7. Ranuj Pegu, 8. Bimal Bora, 9. Sanjay Kishen, 10. Jogen Mohan, 11. Ashok Singhal and 12. Pijush Hazarika.

Pijush Hazarika, Sanjay Kishen, Jogen Mohan have served as the Ministers of State in the former Sarbananda Sonowal Cabinet. They are all being elevated to the Cabinet Minister level.
