BTC Chief formally announced Pramila Rani Brahma as MP candidate from Kokrajhar, claims ABSU as biggest challenge

Kokrajhar: While announcing the BPF senior leader and, Minister of Social Welfare and Soil Conservation Pramila Rani Brahma as the Member of Parliament contender from Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday during a BPF Central Working Committee meeting at Barama area under Baksa District, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary claimed All Bodo Student’s Union (ABSU) to be the biggest challenge for Bodoland People’s Front (BPF).

Speaking before the media, BTC Chief, Hagrama Mohilary said that the BPF party is confident enough to conquer the Kokrajhar seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Moreover, the alliance party BJP is ready to leave the seat to the BPF party in the region. “BPF party is committed to fighting the election at Kokrajhar by itself, despite being allied with the BJP. As regards to the other areas of the state, we will help BJP,” said Hagrama.

He further stated that the BPF party has decided to field Pramila Rani Brahma from Kokrajhar seat to ensure our victory in the lone Lok Sabha seat of BTC.

Also, talking about the recent ongoing talks over Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) joining back as the alliance party to BJP, Hagrama said, “It would be better if the AGP joins back in the team; else we are capable in contesting the election along with BJP party”.

Hagrama clearly admitted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP Government will surely succeed in coming back to the power. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only hope for the nation,” Hagrama adds.

Furthermore, Hagrama claimed that the student wing ABSU leaders have been doing politics in the region; therefore, he feels of them to be the biggest challenge.

On the other hand, Social Welfare and Soil Conservation minister, Pramila Rani Brahma expressed her gratitude towards the party for selecting her as the next contender for the Lok Sabha elections. She also stated to perform her field study before coming into the battleground. “If I'm voted into power, I will surely do my best for the people of BTC,” claimed Pramila Rani Brahma.

Also, praising BJP party, Pramila Rani Brahma said that the party is doing well in the central level and surely one can accept better promises from the Narendra Modi-led BJP Government for the upcoming elections.
