CAB Protests: Gauhati University Postpones Exam Scheduled On Dec 11

In the wake of the widespread protests and outrage, Gauhati University (GU) has postponed the examination which was scheduled to be held on Wednesday i.e. December 11, 2019.

As per the examination schedule of the varsity, there was an examination on Wednesday which has been postponed to avoid an untoward situation owing to tense situation prevailing in the state including Guwahati over the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) issue.

The varsity notification stated that the date of the examination will be rescheduled later considering the situation.

It may be mentioned here that the controversial Bill will be tabled in the Rajya Sabha for passage at around 2pm on Wednesday.
