Tezpur, June 27: Acting on specific input, a task force team of officials from the Labour Department, police personal and child protection unit, Sonitpur, led by Harsajyoti Phukan, Child Protection Officer, rescued two minors from two separate houses in Tezpur in Sonitpur district engaged as domestic help. Harshajyoti Phukan, Child Protection Officer said that based on specific information, a boy and a girl were rescued on Wednesday from two separate houses in Tezpur in a joint operation of the Labour Inspector Julie Bhuyan, police officials of Tezpur Sadar Thana and child protection unit. A minor girl of Bihali in Biswanath district was rescued from the house of Aparajita Dihingia, Kumargaon area and a minor boy of Topai Naharbari area was rescued from the house of Arun Kumar Seal, Harigaon area near ASEB power station, Tezpur. Both the minors were handed over to Softseed for rehabilitation.
