COVID-19: Assam Govt. to conduct special screening of cancer patients stranded at Mumbai

The Government of Assam has taken a proactive step for conducting special COVID-19 screening of the state’s cancer patients stranded at Mumbai. The state government has taken the step after three cancer patients from Assam tested positive for novel coronavirus in Delhi. Informing this Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, on Thursday tweeted, “After 3 of our patients were found Coronavirus positive in Delhi, we have taken a proactive step for conducting special screening for Assam’s cancer patients stranded at Mumbai. The screening of 202 patients by a private lab shall allay apprehensions. We hope for the best.”
