COVID-19 update : Assam residents will likely need permit to enter state post lockdown

GUWAHATI: Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that post lockdown the number of residents of Assam entering the state from outside needs to be regulated.

For that purpose, the state government is thinking of launching a website from which permit could be obtained by residents to enter the state.

Sarma said that residents will enter in phased manner so that they can be quarantined properly.
