Dates for Panchayat Polls in Assam declared

Guwahati: The Panchayat election in Assam will be held in two phases on December 5 and 9, 2018. The elections will be held in two phases and the first phase of polling will be held in 16 districts. While the second phase of the polls will be held in 10 districts.

The counting of the votes is scheduled to be held on December 12.

The last date for nomination submission for the first phase of polling is November 15 while the last date for nomination dismissal is November 19.

For the second phase of polling, the last date of nomination submission is November 19 and the last date for nomination dismissal is November 22.

The code of conduct for the Panchayat polls is going to be effective from today, November 5, 2018.
