Silchar: Due to the devastating floods that have gripped Assam and particularly Barak Valley where the situation has turned worst, all 21 ferry services operating in the region has been suspended for an indefinite period. Bharat Bhushan Dev Choudhury, Director of the Inland Water Transport department informed that the decision was taken following the rising water levels in all the rivers.
