Fifth triennial divisional conference of LIC agents held

DHUBRI, June 27: The 5th Triennial Bongaigaon Divisional Council Conference of Life Insurance Agents’ Federation of India, was held recently at the Dhubri District Library Auditorium with a day-long programme. Nearly 400 LIC agents operating from 12 branches of LIC under the Bongaigaon Division participated in the conference where many senior functionaries of the federation, including all India president of the federation, DS Sukla also attended. Secretary of the reception committee, Suprakash Sarkar informed The Sentinel that the main agenda of the conference was to discuss the problems related to LIC agents like pension, provident fund, medi-claims and retirement benefits and all the issues chalked out earlier were thoroughly discussed and resolutions adopted.

“Beside this, issues related to policy holders of LIC, including increasing the bonus of the customers, waiving the GST on premium and LIC market in India figured in our one-day conference,” Sarkar further informed. Sons and daughters of LIC agents who secured 75 per cent and above in the Higher Secondary Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) examination, were also felicitated by the Dhubri branch of LIC agents in the conference.
