Fight TB with New App by IIT-Guwahati

Guwahati: Public & pvt. hospitals in Assam report 38,000 & 3,000 annual TB cases (at max.), respectively- based on a study. Fighting TB would be easier now with a new app being developed by IIT Guwahati, which can track a patient’s medication trend from the phase of diagnosis with the help of existing DOTS 99. It is slated to be launched in July on pilot basis in Kamrup-Metro & Nalbari district.
