Guwahati: Finally! the name of all NRC applicants have been published online on Saturday, the office of the NRC State Coordinator said here. Notably, the names of all the 3.30 crore applicants as per draft NRC and a supplementary list of inclusions and exclusions (final NRC) have been published, informed the NRC State Coordinator.
All the individuals in Assam, who was a part of the Assam NRC exercise meant to root out the illegal immigrants from the state, can now check their status on the official website of NRC.
Steps to check your names on the final NRC list:
1) Log in to website – www.nrcassam.nic.in
2) Look for the link that says "Supplementary Inclusions/Exclusions Lists (Final NRC) status"
3) Type in your Application Reference Number (ARN) to check if your name has been added to the final NRC

The list which was published on Saturday includes the names of those who have been accepted as the citizens of Assam, excluded and those whose appeals are pending.
A total of 3,30,27,661 persons had applied for inclusion of their names in the updated list of NRC Assam. More than 19 lakh people in Assam were excluded from the final list of the NRC that was released by the government on August 31, while over three 3.11 crore persons were included.
As per the guidelines issued by the Central government, the excluded persons can approach one of the 400 foreigners' tribunals and appeal against their exclusions within 120 days of the publication of the final list. The tribunals are set up the government to hear the appeals of those who have been excluded from the Assam NRC list.
The foreigners' tribunal will also issue certificates to the excluded people and explain them why they have been left out of the final list of NRC.
