GCC’s tea management course proves a success

GOLAGHAT, July 2: Principal of Golaghat Commerce College (GCC), Jatindra Nath Saikia said that Golaghat Commerce College started a one-year graduate diploma course in tea management in the year 2016. The first batch of the tea management course successfully completed the course in 2017 and got engaged in various tea companies of Assam. The principal also said that looking at the possibility of getting engaged in the tea industry, Golaghat Commerce College had decided to start a tea management course in association with North Eastern Tea Association (NETA). The various factories and tea estate under the NETA were taken as field study centre for its students. At present, the second semester students of the course had been sent for internship training to various tea companies. New admission is going on and classes will start from the first week of August, said the principal.
