BOKO, June 10: As part of skill development programme, the NGO Drishtee Foundation conducted a six-week handloom (weaving) training programme sponsored by SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India) at Nisinpur village near Bamunigaon in Kamrup rural district. The training programme will conclude on June 23. This remote village is cut-off from the mainstream and development schemes do not reach the village. Total 30 women have taken part in the training programme. A meeting was held on Saturday to interact with and encourage the trainees. Ashim Baidya, Manager of SIDBI from Guwahati, and Parag Dhar Knowar, vice-president of Drishtee, interacted with the trainees.
