Haryana Man beaten to death in Alwar on suspicion of Cow Smuggling

Akbar Khan, a 28-year old resident of Haryana was beaten to death by a frenetic mob in Ramgarh area of Alwar district of Rajasthan. The villagers suspected that Khan, who was transporting two cows with his friend, was a cow smuggler.

The residents of the Alwar village confronted Khan and beat him black and blue. Khan succumbed to his injuries and died on the way to the hospital. A police official said that a case has been filed and the accused will soon be arrested.

Alwar has made headlines several times due to incidents related to cow vigilantism.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje condemned the incident in a tweet and assured that strictest action will be taken against the lawbreakers.
