

Guwahati: On Tuesday, Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) in a press statement has predicted heavy to incessant rainfall activity across the north-eastern states and has sent a weather warning for the next 2 to 3 days.
Rainfall activity over north-eastern states during last 24 hours indicates that light to moderate rain will occur in several parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
It may be mentioned here that the monsoon trough continues to run to the north of its normal position and its eastern end extends across the northeastern states.
Following the report, Rainfall Forecast by IMD for north-eastern states during next 5 days suggests that rainfall at most places are most likely occur over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya during next 2-3 days.
Rainfall at most places are most likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on September 11, 2018 and decrease during subsequent 2-3 days with a probability of slight increase thereafter.
