Imphal, Thoubal Rivers Swell Above Danger Mark in Manipur

Imphal: Heavy downpour resulted in a drastic rise in the water level in Rivers Imphal and Thoubal. The incessant rains have caused the rivers to flow way above the danger mark and breached the river embankments at four locations.

Villages at Lilong chajing karam, Uchiwa Nashtau, Irong & Maibam but the swift action of Imphal Company post of 5 JAK RIF resulted in a speedy recovery of the flood-hit people that resulted in no casualties. Inmates at the flood relief camps invited upon the troops and officers of the Army to celebrate Eid with them as a mark of appreciation and good gesture.
