Man nabbed with illegal drugs

NAGAON, June 13: Nagaon Police on Wednesday morning apprehended a person along with 35 cartons of illegal drugs. The illegal drugs were being carried in a Magic carrier to JN Pharmaceutical of M Azad Road in Nagaon town. According to police sources, the nabbed person has been identified as Zahangir Alam of Bengenaati. The sources added further that the seized drugs were carried to a courier service centre in the Khutikatia area by a truck from Guwahati along with some other courier parcels. The police seized the truck along with the cartons of drugs.

Zahangir Alam had earlier been apprehended several times by Nagaon Police for alleged involvement in smuggling and selling of poisonous illegal drugs in the district.
