Gurugram: In yet another shameful act that raises serious concern about women and girl safety in the country and the state of Haryana as a whole, a 19-year-old college student who was the former Haryana CBSE topper was dragged to a field where she was allegedly gang-raped by men of her own village.

What is more shocking into the incident is that the parents of the former Haryana CBSE topper have now accused that the Haryana Police is refusing to even file an FIR.

Reportedly, on Wednesday evening, three men allegedly kidnapped the 19-year-old college student and dragged her to a nearby field where she was gang-raped by a group of men including the abductors on Wednesday.

A second-year college student, the survivor is a former Haryana CBSE board exam topper and was even felicitated by the President of India.

As per the Police officials, they informed media persons that the victim was first kidnapped by three suspicious men while she was on her way to tuitions in a four-wheeler and dragged her to a field where she was gang-raped by the men and others already present at the field. The survivor was then abandoned and left alone at a bus stand near Kanina in an unconscious state.

Severe protests have been witnessed regarding lack of law and order situation when it comes to fighting back sexual crimes and rape of women and girls.

Meanwhile, the surviving victim has alleged that all of the accused are men from her own village. Meanwhile, the Haryana CBSE topper's parents told the media that when they approached local law enforcement, the police refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) in this case.

It may be mentioned that the parents of the young girl had further alleged that the family including their daughter were threatened by the accused to no to report the matter before police or speak to media about it.

What’s more shocking is that the parents of the rape survivor are still trying to knock every door of the law in order to just book an FIR.
