Mohilary inaugurates model hospital at Barama

Kokrajhar, June 14: The chief of BTC, Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday ceremonially inaugurated the 30-bedded model hospital at Barama in Baksa district in presence of EM of Health, Ganesh Kachary. The model hospital has been built at a cost of Rs. 3.9 crore by NHM. The inaugural function was also attended by BTC EM Ansumwi Khunggur Boro, MLA Moneswar Brahma, CHD Health. Dr. A. Ahmad, and other officers of the health department. In his speech, Mohilary hoped that local people would be benefitted with the inauguration of this hospital. He said Assam was facing shortage of doctors. At present a doctor had been posted in the hospital but they would take necessary measures to bring more doctors and staff.

In another programme, Mohilary said the foundation stone for Interpretation Centre-cum-Museum had been laid at Daodhara, Koklabari in Baksa district in the presence of minister Pramila Rani Brahma, MLAs Thaneswar Basumatary and Moneswsr Boro, Ansumwi Khunggur Boro, EM, Polindra Basumatary, MCLA and officers of the forest department. Mohilary announced establishment of Agricultural College at Koklabari. He called upon all to cooperate to make the project a success.
