Narrow escape for minister

RANGIA, June 7: State Supply Minister Phani Bhusan Choudhury’s official car, in which the minister was travelling from his constituency to Guwahati, was hit by a pregnant cow at Udiana on NH-31 on Wednesday evening. The escort car of the minister also hit the car in which the minister was travelling from behind, subsequently damaging the official car (AS-01-DG-3079). After the accident, the people of Udiana reached the spot and took away the minister from the vehicle. After being informed, Rangia Police also immediately rushed to the spot and later arranged a separate car for the minister. The minister is safe and no one was injured in the accident. Later both the vehicles were kept in the Rangia Police Station. Minister Choudhury paid money to the owner of the cow for its treatment as the cow was injured in the mishap.
