New Planet?

Chennai: The scientists of PRL, Ahmedabad discovered a new planet (exoplanet) using PARAS spectrograph on Mt. Abu. It's a super-Neptune or sub-Saturn size, which is of 27X Earth’s mass and 6X Earth’s radius. It revolves around a Sun-like star in 19.5 days, 600 light yrs away. This has listed India among the countries which have discoveries of planets to their credit. Since the planet revolves around host star EPIC 211945201 or K2-236, it will be known as EPIC 211945201b or K2-236b – ISRO said.
