One apprehended

NAGAON, June 1: Nagaon Sadar police on Thursday night apprehended one person from Bengenati in Nagaon town and rescued a married woman, a mother of two children of Kerala, from his residence. According to sources, the nabbed person has been identified as Romjan Ali of Nagaon Bengenati. The sources added that the Romjan worked in Kerala for several years and allegedly eloped with a married woman, a mother of two children, from Kerala. Interestingly, soon after the elopement, he returned back to his native village Bengenati in Nagaon.

Meanwhile the husband of the woman lodged an FIR at his local police station in Kerala. Following that FIR, Kerala Police contacted Nagaon Police which got down to the task of tracking Romjan Ali and finally were able to apprehend him from his own residence and also rescued the woman from his residence at Bengenati in Nagaon.
