NAGAON, June 24: Nagaon Police on Sunday evening, following an anti-social post on social media, apprehended one person from Dhing in Nagaon. According to police sources, the nabbed person has been identified as Ikramul Haque. Ikramul opened a fake Twitter account in the name of his brother-in-law Jakir Hussain and posted various objectionable anti-social comments. He even posted a threat to blast Guwahati on August 15.
Following the post, Nagaon and Guwahati police, in quest of Jakir Hussain, launched a search operation in Juria and picked up Jakir. When police interrogated him the actual culprit came to light. Subsequently, Nagaon police nabbed his brother-in-law Ikramul Hague who married Jakir’s sister. The sources further added that the police later seized a computer monitor, CPU and others relevant things from a computer cafe in Dhing. Nagaon Police have started further investigation and interrogation is going on.
