PMUY launched in Dima Hasao

HAFLONG, June 27: MP RP Sarma iugurated the ceremonial launching and distribution of LPG connection by IOC (Indian Oil Corporation) to BPL families of Dima Hasao as per 2011 census under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yoja (PMUY) at a ceremonial function held at the premises of the Cultural Institute Hall on Tuesday.

The iugural function was attended by chairperson, Ranu Langthasa, deputy chairman H B Chetri, executive members Debojit Bathari,  Kulendra Daolagupu,Samuel Changsan, ST Jem Hrangkhol, Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao, Ranjit Hazarika, Principal Secretary Amerendra Barua and others.

Representatives of OIC attending the function detailed the objective of the scheme which would help the women folk of the country to a great extent.

All the speakers appreciated Prime Minister rendra Modi and said that under this scheme, five crore LPG connections would be provided to BPL families in the country to provide clean cooking fuel to women belonging to below BPL households across the country.  RP Sarma appealed to the people to avail this scheme to the fullest.
