Public shouldn’t make an issue out of one or two rape incidents: Mos finance Santosh Gangwar

In the midst of steep rise in rape cases throughout the nation, MoS for finance Santosh Gangwar on 22^nd April 2018 said that public should not create an issue over one or two mishaps as all crimes cannot be prevented.

While speaking to news correspondents, Santosh said “Such incidents are unfortunate, but these cannot be always prevented. The government is alert everywhere and investigations have been initiated on such matters. In such a big nation like ours, people should not create an issue over one or two incidents.”

However, Santosh Gangwar welcomed the initiative by the government to provide death penalty to people who rape children below the age of 12.
