World's cheapest car TATA NANO's journey has come to an end, after serving the consumers for 10 years at affordable price.
Tata Motors aimed to target Indian who wanted to buy cars without burning major holes in their pocket. Tata Motors projected annual production of 250,000 at launch and achieved sales of 7591 units during the year 2016-17. Currently, Tata Motor dropped down its production to only one unit in the month of June whereas 275 units of Nano were produced in last year.
The biggest challenge holding manufactures back from their production is due to decline of sales volume, early instances of the Nano catching fire, the perception of Nano being unsafe and lacking quality due to cost cutting.
Cheapest Car" tag associated with Nano became another major reason for decline in production and whatever little was left in public interest, went up in flames as word of the Nano catching fire spread rapidly and its design created the general misconception of it being unsafe.
Still Nano holds the biggest example for the Indian Automakers as it provides people budget conscious and value added service with an emotional sentiments attach to it. The other production of Tata motor is enormously increasing with the expansion of manufacturing facilities to cater to the growing demand of Tigor and Tiago for the Indian market at affordable price as per as the consumer need.
As the production of Nano come to halt and the consumers are hoping that Tata motor comes up with revolutionary innovation, the automobile manufacturing giant is busy innovating better and safer technology for the Indian consumers and their sturdy needs.
