Thunderbolt claims one in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR, June 2: A 12-year old boy, studying in Class VII, died after a thunderbolt struck him on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Moni Kumar Doley, son of Babai Doley and Kabita Doley of Dafalakota Ghuli Gaon under Panigaon Police Station of the district. The accident, in which a buffalo also died, took place around 8 am. The boy was grazing the buffalo at that time in an open field near the village. Later, Panigaon police sent the body to North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital for post mortem.
