Thunderstrike kills one

Bongaigaon, June 27: A farmer died due to thunderstrike on Tuesday night. Naya Miya (48), a resident of Mojabari village under Sidli Police Station of Chirang district, was missing since Tuesday after he went to work in the field. “Since then he had not returned. Today we noticed his body in the field. We suspect he died due to lightning strike,” said local people. Sidli Police sent the body for post-mortem.
