Tough time awaits Akon Bora?

By our Staff Reporter
GUWAHATI, April 22: For the past few days indiscipline is seen in the newly-formed Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) that may make State party president Ripun Bora to be in troubled waters.
Some senior leaders of the party are heard making some negative remarks against the party outside, instead of raising them within party forums. A few days ago the APCC issued a show-cause notice to senior party leader Bolin Kuli for openly criticizing Tarun Gogoi. However, even after the stricture, a section of senior leaders of the party is airing comments against the party. Even senior leader and former MLA Haren Das openly declared that he is not going to renew his membership to the Congress. He is not satisfied with some activities of the party.
According to sources, some senior Congress leaders and a few MLAs of the party are very close to the BJP. This indicates that a tough time awaits Bora.  It also came to light that a lobby in the party led by a former minister is active at New Delhi against Bora.
