Two drug peddlers apprehended in Cachar, packet containing 200 Nos. of Yaba tablets seized

Guwahati: Based on secret information, the officer in charge Dholai PS and staff conducted a search at Janata Bazar under Dholai PS and apprehended 02 (two) suspected drug peddlers.

The two drug peddlers were identified as Praneswar Das (22 Yrs) S/O-Nakul Chandra Das & Sanjit Das (23 Yrs) S/O-Late Joy Kumar Das, both are of Shyamacharanpur, PS-Dholai, Dist.-Cachar (Assam).

As per initial reports, both of them were coming from Kabuganj side by a Motor Cycle bearing Registration No.AS-11P-2251.

The police during search Police recovered 49 Nos. of small size blue packets; each packet containing 200 Nos. of Yaba tablets suspected to be Narcotic Drugs and seized the same from their possession. Accordingly, both the persons brought to Dholai PS for thorough interrogation.

In this connection, a case vide Dholai PS Case No.46/2020 U/S-21(b) NDPS Act has been registered and both the accused are arrested and forwarded to Hon’ble Court today (17/02/2020).
