Two injured in road accident

Tamulpur, June 11: Two youths were injured in a road accident on Monday evening at Borkhopa on 127(D) Rangia-Tamulpur-Bhutan international link road. The injured youths were identified as Santosh Chetri (36), son of Jit Bahadur Chetri of village Gerua under Tamulpur PS, and Jalal Ali (25) of village Borajole under Ghagrapar PS in the district of Nalbari.

Jalal was coming towards Rangia on his bike (AS-14A-9989) when the scooty (AS-25H-7734) which Santosh was riding hit the bike from the front. As a result, both Santosh and Jalal were injured. Local people shifted them to Tamulpur PHC. After providing primary treatment, both were sent to GMCH for better treatment. Tamulpur police are investigating the case.
