Two People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri cadres apprehended in Karbi Anglong

Guwahati: Two People’s Democratic Council of Karbi Longri (PDCKL) cadres were apprehended by local people of Virvar Sai Teron Gaon in Karbi Anglong when they came to collect extortion money in the village last night at around 12 am.

The apprehended cadres were identified as Jirsong Hanse, age 20 years, S/O Longki Hanse, R/O Longtham kro Gaon and Clarbong Teron, age 19 years, S/O Khorsing Teron, R/O Mukachong of Dokmoka PS, Karbi Anglong.

One money receipt book and 18 pads of PDCKL were recovered from their possession.

As per a press statement by the Assam Police, the two cadres are close aides of David Mukrang. The duo sustained injuries as local people assaulted them.

A case is being registered and further investigation is on.
