ULFA (I) releases head fitter Gaurango Dey of Shankar Tea Estate today in Tinsukia

Tinsukia: It’s big breaking news for the entire people at Shankar Tea Estate in Talap, as Gauranga Dey, head fitter of Shankar Tea Estate was released today evening by rebel outfit ULFA(I), informed Tinsukia Superintendent of Police, Siladitya Chetia.

It is believed that the militant outfit ULFA (I) might have released Gauranga Dey, due to constant pressure from both the police and security forces since the past few weeks, claimed SP Chetia before the media.

Earlier, Priyanka Dey, daughter of Gauranga Dey was informed by an unidentified militant representing the ULFA (I) through a phone call on Tuesday evening that her father is well and good; however, there was no exchange of cooperation from Garden owner Sudhir Kumar Lohia so far on the issue of the abduction of Gorango Dey.

Notably, the head fitter of Shankar Tea Estate was abducted by ULFA(I) from his native place on October 11, 2019.
