Unidentified Miscreants vandalized ABSU office in Baksa, Properties worth lakhs Destroyed

Baksa: In a startling incident, few unknown miscreants vandalized All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) office in Rupohi under Baksa District on December 31, 2019.

The incident was reported between 10 pm to 11 pm, as per sources.

The miscreants burned down all the important officials’ documents and destroyed several other important properties including TV, official documents, tables, chairs and two-wheelers, among others.

Reports also state that there were six office-bearers inside the office room when the miscreants entered the office and started attacking them. However, the members managed to escape from the spot.

It may also be mentioned that three two-wheelers were destroyed in the incident, sources informed further.

Following the incident, Police rushed the spot to take stock of the incident and started their investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, the police detained two persons in connection with the incident.

Further investigation is on.
