Yashwant Sinha says quitting BJP to save democracy

Former Union finance minister Yashwant Sinha who had joined the BJP in the mid-90s said that he is quitting the BJP because the NDA is wrecking democratic institutions. He said that today he is taking 'sanyas' from any kind of party politics and ending all ties with the BJP at an event in Patna.

Sinha affirmed to work for the protection of democracy of the nation as he blamed the NDA government for impasse in Parliament during the Budget session.
Further he said that from now he would try to unite all non-BJP parties and would not join any political party and would have nothing to do with party-politics. Sinha added that he is not an aspirant for any top post and he made it clear that he is not at all interested to seek any post.
