13 Royal Enfield Bikes Stolen in Delhi Recovered from Guwahati Railway Parcel Office

Guwahati: In a major breakthrough, at least 13 numbers of stolen Royal Enfield bikes were recovered today from Guwahati Railway Station Parcel Office on Wednesday morning.

As per GRP sources at the Guwahati Railway Station, these stolen bikes have been reportedly parceled from Delhi and from here, these were supposed to be delivered in Thoubal District of Manipur.

Notably, on September 29, GRP officials arrested three Manipur based persons identified as Wahidur Rahman, Waris Khan and Mamatajur Rahman at Guwahati Railway Station. As per reports, they were here to receive the consignment of the Royal Field Bikes from New Delhi at Railway Parcel Office in Guwahati.

One Suraj Khan reported to be the kingpin of their gang from New Delhi is suspected to be involved in the case, informed GRP Guwahati.

It may be mentioned that one out of the three accused, Waris Khan is the brother of kingpin Suraj Khan.

Based on the inputs and follow up to the previous case, GRP raided the parcel office at the Railway Station and recovered 13 Royal Enfield bikes.

Meanwhile, speaking to The Sentinel Digital, Sub Inspector, Government Railway Police (GRP), Mahesh Baishya informed that FIR against 12 missing Royal Enfield Bikes have already been registered at various police stations in New Delhi and the Government Railway Police personnel from Guwahati is coordinating the matter with the Delhi GRP officials.

In another case, at least 66 mobile handsets were recovered by the Government Railway Police at Guwahati Railway Station from platform number 2 and apprehended two persons in this regard.

The two apprehended persons were identified as Abdus Sattar and Sahabuddin. Both are the residents of Malda in West Bengal.
