Army provides mid-day meal to orphans

Bongaigaon, June 2: Chirang Army distributed mid-day meal on Saturday at Boroland Children Home (orphanage), Laugaon.

Around 40 children ranging from the age of 2 years- 12 yrs were provided with meal along with 10 staff members. This orphanage is a home for children of apprehended insurgents and parents who died during conflicts. The children living in this home get rare chance of interacting with the outside world. Army has taken the first step in providing them the necessary requirement and support in education such as sports equipment, cloths and stationery essential for their growth.
