Article 370 removed in Kashmir, J&K and Ladakh will be a Union Territory: Amit Shah

The special status on Jammu and Kashmir, as was guaranteed by the Article 370 will be removed now as Home Minister Amit Shah has announced it in the parliament today. The announcement made by the Shah has created a massive uproar and political implications in the country. The new decision of "reorganising" Jammu and Kashmir, as stated by the Home Minister, is not being accepted well by the members of the parliament. The Home Minister has now proposed to bifurcate the state into two union territories, namely, Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.

As per the new proposal made by the Home Minister, Ladakh will be a Union Territory without an assembly and Jammu and Kashmir will be a Union Territory with an assembly.
