Guwahati Railway Station becomes first in Northeast to run on solar power

Indian Railway has decided to run its trains completely on solar power, across the nation and thereby made the Guwahati Railway Station the first in entire North East region to completely run on solar power. It is basically done to reduce the carbon footprint and cut down the consumption of electricity.
