Late SI Bhaskar Kalita awarded police medal for gallantry on occasion of Independence Day

Guwahati: Late Sub Inspector Bhaskar Kalita has been awarded police medal for gallantry, posthumously on the occasion of Independence Day 2019.

It may be mentioned that late Sub Inspector, Bhaskar Kalita, the officer-in-charge of Bordumsa police station, was killed during an ‘encounter’ on May 4, 2018 at Kujupathar under Bordumsa police station in upper Assam’s Tinsukia district.
