Uttar Pradesh CM, Yogi Adityanath, dared the Congress President, Rahul Gandhi to try and hug him. The CM said that Rahul Gandhi’s hug to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi was a mere political stunt and that he does not approve of the act.

“Rahul Gandhi will have to think 10 times before hugging me,” said Yogi.

Yogi, when asked if he would reciprocate the hug in case Rahul Gandhi hugs him, said that political stunts are not acceptable to him at any cost. He also said that the Congress leader’s behavior was childish and does not have a decision and wisdom of his own. He said that a sensible person will not do such a thing.

On Friday, during the no-confidence motion debate in the Parliament, the Congress president, after completing his speech hugged PM Modi. Later, PM, Modi called the gesture as “unwanted”.

On Sunday, the Congress sounded the poll bugle for the general assembly 2019. The newly constituted Congress working committee (CWC), authorized Rahul Gandhi to decide on “alliances with like-minded parties” to keep the BJP away from returning to power.

“Will Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati accept Rahul Gandhi as the PM face? Will Sharad Pawar accept him and work under him? Also, I would like to know why the opposition is not declaring their leader? .Everyone is singing his own tune in the opposition. People will also compare the 60 years of Congress rule and four years of the Narendra Modi regime.” Said Yogi.

Yogi, while speaking on the incidences of mob lynching in the country, said such actions cannot be accepted and neither can cow slaughter and smuggling. He also said that killing in the name of “Gau Raksha” cannot be allowed at any cost. However, cow smuggling and slaughter will also be not allowed. Mob lynching incidents are being emphasized more now. People trying to take the law into their hands should be punished.
