Sinkage in Railway tracks near Lumding Division, NFR cancelled 6 trains from Sep 27 to 28

Guwahati/Margherita: Sudden cancellation of Ledu-Guwahati Intercity Express (15604) led to a chaotic situation at Lumding Station on Friday.

Onboard Passengers while speaking to the media lambasted the Northeast Frontier Railways (NFR) authorities for the sudden cancellation of the trains without prior notice.

Meanwhile, Northeast Frontier Railways, PRO, Nipen Bhattacharya informed The Sentinel Digital that due to sinkage in railway tracks from Habaipur to Lamsakhang section of Lumding Division, at least six trains were cancelled by the Northeast Frontier Railways from September 27 to 28.

Lists of cancellations of trains:

15717/15718 Guwahati-Mariani Intercity Express, 15927/15928 Rangiya-New Tinsukia Express, 15603/15605 Guwahati-Ledo Intercity Express, 15604/15606 Ledo-Guwahati Intercity-Express

Lists of short termination and partial cancellation of trains:

15769/15770 Alipurduar-Lumding-Alipurduar Intercity Express will short terminate at Chaparmukh Junction and will remain partially cancelled between Chaparmukh Jn-Lunding-Chaparmukh Jn.

55601/55602 Guwahati-Lunding-Guwahati Passenger scheduled to leave on September 28 will short terminate at Hojai and will remain partially cancelled between Hojai-Lumding-Hojai.
