
Google is celebrating Teachers' Day 2018 by displaying an animated Google doodle to pay tribute to every teacher around the globe. The doodle shows a spinning blue globe wearing spectacles which are surrounded by many subjects ranging from music, astronomy, sports, and chemistry.
Teachers' Day is celebrated in India on September 5 in order to tribute the second president of India Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was a scholar, philosopher politician and above all a great teacher.
Radhakrishnan, who was also a Bharat Ratna recipient is honoured with the formation of contemporary Hindu identity and played a vital role in assimilating India and the western culture by making people understand the basics of Hinduism. He was also an active member of India's freedom struggle. In India, the Teachers Day is celebrated as since 1962 in honour of India’s second President Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
Every year Radhakrishnan's birthday is blissfully celebrated as Teachers' Day to honour him and thousands of those who do this great job of humanity that is to impart and spread knowledge.
Google Doodle also has joined the entire nation on this auspicious occasion of teachers day which marks the great bonding between teachers and students. This day when Indian schools and educational institutions celebrate the event by organising many cultural programmes, teacher-student interactions and other celebrating activities On this day Students present their teachers with cards and other gifts as a way of displaying their respect and reverence. They wish teachers who play a significant role in shaping students' knowledge and character from the early years of life.
