Delhi Gets a Glimpse of Tesla’s Electric Future

Tesla is set to inaugurate its second experience centre in India today, 11th August, at Worldmark 3, Aerocity, New Delhi. Following the successful launch of its first showroom in Mumbai's Bandra Kurla Complex, this marks a significant step in the Elon Musk-led company’s expansion into the Indian market.

The new centre will serve as an interactive space for customers to explore Tesla’s flagship electric vehicle, the Model Y, which debuted in India during the Mumbai showroom launch. Both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long-Range RWD variants of the Model Y will be on display.

Model Y Specs, Pricing

The Tesla Model Y RWD variant starts at ₹59.89 lakh, with an on-road price of ₹61.07 lakh, while the Long-Range version is priced at ₹67.89 lakh (₹69.15 lakh on-road). The RWD model offers either a 60 kWh or 75 kWh battery pack, delivering up to 500 km WLTP range, and around 295 horsepower. The Long-Range version extends that to 622 km on a single charge.

Supercharging Arrives in Delhi

Tesla is also introducing its Supercharging infrastructure to Delhi. The Aerocity showroom will feature four V4 DC Supercharging stalls offering peak speeds of 250 kW at ₹24/kWh, alongside four AC Destination Charging stalls at 11 kW for ₹11/kWh. Additionally, four more destination chargers are expected across Delhi NCR.

This latest expansion highlights Tesla’s growing focus on India, paving the way for wider EV adoption and setting the stage for further investments in infrastructure and localisation in the near future.
