Train mows down woman near Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati, Body sent for post mortem

Guwahati: In an untoward incident, a woman was found dead near Saraighat Bridge in Guwahati on Friday afternoon.

As per initial reports, the woman is suspected to be around 45 years old; however, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

Locals also alleged that it is a case of suicide as passersby who were at the scene mentioned that the woman deliberately jumped in front of the train.

Meanwhile, police have reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.

Further investigations are on.
