After Twitter Takeover, Elon Musk Announces To Buy Coca-Cola

New Delhi: Days after buying Twitter for $44 billion, Tesla Chief Elon Musk on Thursday announced to buy Coca-Cola next.

"Next I'm buying Coca-Cola to put the cocaine back in," he tweeted.

However, it is yet to be ascertained whether Musk's tweet on his new interest in buying Coca-Cola is serious or a mere jest.

On Tuesday, the Tesla chief bought a 100 percent stake in Twitter for approx &44 billion around $54.20 per share, and all of it in cash.

However, Twitter was evaluating Musk's offer for the last few weeks, but eventually, it fell into Musk's court. Earlier Musk had said that Twitter has "extraordinary potential" and he wanted to unlock it all.

Musk also had criticized some of the policies of Twitter, asserting that the content moderators on the platform are ''too involved'' and how the free speech has been hampered on the micro-blogging site.

"Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated," he had tweeted after sealing a deal with Twitter.

He also announced to revive twitter by including extra features on the platform, making algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating spambots and authenticating all humans.

Meanwhile, Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal has praised Twitter employees who continue to do their work with focus 'despite the noise' amid uncertainty over his role in Twitter, once it's taken over by Tesla boss Elon Musk.

"I took this job to change Twitter for the better, course-correct where we need to, and strengthen the service. Proud of our people who continue to do the work with focus and urgency despite the noise," he tweeted.

However, people are taking this tweet as a statement about his future role in the company.
