Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) plenary session on startups

Guwahati: Chairman, CII Start-up Council, S Gopalakrishnan addressed a special plenary session for startups organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as a part of the CII HR Conclave here on Thursday. “In the last 25 years, India has gone from a 600 billion dollars to 2.5 trillion dollars economy, per capita income has also seen a growth of 5 times. India will soon become a middle-income level country with an average income of 5000 dollars per household”, he said.

“Quality of life is the issue in many cities across India”, he said. “Improvement in internet connectivity is required in the NE States in order to leverage the technology. People, government and industries should come together to help each other. CII has committees and councils to assist entrepreneurs in getting training and skill development, but ownership must come from the people”, he said.

Earlier, in HR Conclave Dr Deben Buragohain, Managing Director, Indradhanush Gas Grid Ltd, P Kishore Babu, CPO Administration, NF Railways, Bharat Goswami, Associate Vice President, DS Group, Shrija Chandak, General Manager HR and Administration, Amrit Cement Limited, Asit Das General Manager (HR), Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Ltd, Kajal Saikia, General Manager (HR), Numaligarh Refinery Ltd, Olee Bora, General Manager (HR), NEDFi delivered knowledge sharing session on HR and various startups, stated a press release.
