Markets Updates: Sensex Falls Below 61k, Nifty Also Weakens
New Delhi: Amid mixed trends in Asian markets on Thursday, the domestic market started with a decline in trading.
The Sensex lost over 400 points to 60,705 while Nifty slipped below 18150 in early trade today on the day of weekly F&O expiry.
The Nifty Mid Cap 100 index was up 0.1 percent in early deals while its Small Cap counterpart was down 0.2 percent
During the business today, the focus will be on Reliance, Vodafone Idea, Airtel, ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, PNB, ITC and Maruti.
Many companies, including Adani Green, AU Small Finance Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Banaras Beeds, DLF, Edelweiss, Indigo, JK Tire, NTPC, Reliance Infra and UCO Bank, which are listed on BSE, will come out with their results, due to which these companies will be on focus today.
The IPO of Nykaa, a start-up company selling beauty products is also open today. Investors will be able to invest in this IPO till November 1.
